Terms of participation
(1) Sahhar & Stokowy GbR, who are represented by Nicola Sahhar and Dr. Martin Stokowy, are organizers of “Bindung und Gefahr”/”Attachment and Danger”.
(2) Participation in “Bindung and Gefahr“ is defined solely by the Terms of Participation, which participants accept upon registration.
(3) Prospective participants can register at www.bindungundgefahr.de. Registration is binding. Once registered participants are only eligible to participate upon settlement of the participation fee. With registration the participant agrees to the organizers’ regulations on safety and access as well as any other regulations connected with the execution of the event. Participation is on a person-specific basis and cannot be transferred to others, nor is it permitted for participants to bring along other non-registered persons. If for some reason the registered participant cannot attend the event, he or she may propose a substitute in writing. If the substitute is unable to attend, the participant remains obligated to pay the participation fee.
(4) The participation fee is payable before the event. Included in the fee are entry into “Bindung und Gefahr”, documentation and beverages. Costs for accommodation and travel are not included.
(5) Cancellations can be made in writing by 07/31/2010 but incur a cancellation fee of 50%. Fees cannot be reimbursed for cancellations made after 08/01/2010.
(6) The program is subject to change. The organizers are not obliged to execute every aspect of the program. The organizers are not obliged to refund fees in part or in full if individual services are not made use of or if participants are unable to attend the event.
(7) The making of sound and / or image recordings is prohibited throughout the entirety of the event. The documentation included in the participation fee is for the personal use of participants only. They and their contents are protected by copyright and / or other intellectual property rights. The transfer of any kind of data whatsoever, particularly for commercial purposes, to third parties is strictly prohibited.
(8) Personal information provided to the organizer for the purposes of registration will be stored electronically by the organizer for execution and accounting purposes. Information will only be transferred to a third party should legal action to be taken against a participant or when this is necessary in order to fulfill contractual obligations.
(9) The participants confer the organizers with the right to make photo, film or audio recordings during “Bindung und Gefahr”/”Attachment and Danger”. Should a participant explicitly not wish to confer this right, he/she must make a written declaration prior to the event or he/she will be assumed to have conferred this right. Audio, photo and film material will be used for marketing purposes by the organizers.
(10) If for any reason the event has to be cancelled or curtailed in any way prior to taking place, participants will receive a full refund (on a pro rata basis where appropriate). The organizer is bound to announce this at least 14 days prior to the arranged date of the event. The organizer is not liable for any additional claims.
(11) The organizer is not liable for the accuracy of the website, the flyer and event documentation – in particular with regard to the accuracy, completeness and reliability of the information provided therein. The organizer is not liable for damage caused by transmission errors, technical defects, breakdowns or unlawful interference in computer systems, regardless of the location or type of impairment. Furthermore, the organizers are not liable for damage caused by disturbances, interruptions (including system maintenance) or overloaded computer systems.
(12) If any of the provisions in this agreement are proven ineffective, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected thereby. In such cases the ineffective provision is to be amended so that the intended purpose is achieved. The same shall apply to loopholes that these Terms of Participation might be found to contain. Agreements made above and beyond these terms or which deviate from them are only deemed valid upon written confirmation.
(13) These terms are subject to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If applicable by law, Dusseldorf is stipulated as jurisdiction for all disputes arising from the contract.
